CUSTOM MADE SURFACE PIERCING PROPELLERS

FRANCE HELICES surface piercing propellers are specially designed to equip surface drives in order to offer exceptional performance to very fast yachts with planing hulls, such as sport fishing boats, racing boats as well as professional applications where acceleration, high speed and endurance are a necessity such as ambulances, pilot boats, patrol boats, interceptors, search and rescue vessels, coast guards…

We calculate the resistance of your boat, equipped with surface drives, each boat having its own propellers in 4, 5 or 6 blades custom made to fit the characteristics of your boat.

They operate in water and air at high speed, semi-submerged. The surface piercing propeller eliminates cavitation as much as possible by replacing it with ventilation. The surface piercing propeller is therefore the most efficient propeller for this type of application.

FRANCE HELICES’ constant research and development work has improved the efficiency of surface propellers by up to 10% over the last decade. The FH5SSP model of the surface propeller shows an efficiency higher than 75% in cavitation tunnel tests. The modeling of the blades is carried out by the design office and then studied in CFD.

FRANCE HELICES manufactures its surface piercing propellers, made to measure, in France in Nibral, from 20? to 60? of diameter, in class S, according to the ISO 484/2 standard. They are adapted to all brands of drives (SURFACE DRIVE SYTEM, ARNESON…) trimmable or fixed.
