EFFICIENCY & VERSATILITY

The self-feathering "MAX-PROP" is a propeller offering adjustable pitch without external controls, allowing the propeller to be matched precisely to a boat's size, weight, hull type and engine. This short and simple operation is done by opening the hub and readjust the central gears. By the same operation each propeller can be used for either right or left hand rotation installations.

 
BACKING

The “MAX-PROP”presents the same leading edge and same pitch in reverse as forward. Furthermore, because of "differential" type of design, the blades cannot fail to open. These features combine to make the "MAX-PROP" even more efficient in reverse than fixed blade propeller.

DRAG

The single most important feature of the "MAX-PROP" is that it feathers automatically with forward momentum trought the water. The symetrical profile of the blades and the hub provide the best hydrodynamic design for fixed prop motoring efficiency with folding prop sailing drag.

RACING

Under the IOR rule, the "MAX-PROP" self-feathering propeller has more favourable "PF" (Propeller Factor) than a folding prop. This allows a rating reduction of up to 0,3 feet by using a "MAX-PROP" instead of a folding propeller. The two bladed "MAX-PROP" was originally designed a number of years ago for the world's top racers. Currently, KIALOA III, SPARKMAN & STEPHENS, PALMER & JOHNSON, FRERS, PETERSON, NAUTOR (Swan), C & C and BALTIC are just a few of the people that have chosen the "MAX-PROP" - a winning team.

MAXPROP : VP
 

Most technologically advanced design to date. The pitch adjustment is controlled directly the the boat steering station allowing an immediate adaptation of the propeller to changing sailing conditions. Pitch step : continuous.

The whole line of "VP" propellers from the original "classic" to the "hydro" maintain all the acquired advantages brought forth since 1975 tha made the MAX PROP a successful product in all the world :

We can supply, grease pump, grease, screws, zinc...
Be sure that you always keep the zinc in good condition. Zinc anode must be replaced at least every year. The propeller must be protected all the time. Also the Max prop propeller needs to be regreased every year, we recommand you MAX PROP grease.
